For some strange reason the song about Uncle Walter waltzing with bears keeps going through my mind, so through the magic powers of the internet, yesterday I Googled “waltzing with bears” and sure enough, several listings came up so not only could I find the words so that I could sing it incessantly and drive Mehitabel crazy, I also found this great version of the song being sung by Priscilla Herdman, who was one of my favorite singer/songwriters from my misspent youth.
So you might want to listen (and sing along) while you enjoy today’s cartoon!

Here I am! Oh my! yours is one of several comments that I just saw, as I had had several missions this morning which prevented my usual computer time. I have been forbidden to sing this song in the presence of my dear friend, as he claims he does not want pandas (or other bears) stuck in his head! Imagine that!

to be sure, I don’t know, but I think so. It’s been so long since I originally heard the song, but I think that line shows up in several versions by different singers. and quite frankly, if that is not in the ORIGINAL song, it should be.
