We are still celebrating the impending arrival later this year, of a new generation of pandas in Panda Canyon! We *might* need to distract ourselves from current events.
Of course, Pinky has inserted herself into the process of welcoming the next California pandas!

I read that too! Very exciting and better for the bears than DC because in my opinion Pandiego is better at this. I hear that DC is in negotiations also, and I am rooting for them as well because it’s closer to home.
I do believe that DC will get pandas once again, but possibly not until Biden wins re-election this November. I read an interesting article about panda diplomacy, which of course, is a real thing, even if Pinky is not very good at it. (Bubba: tell mee about it!) As a westerner, I happy we will have pandas out here, although it is still quite the trek from Washington to California. Fingers crossed both for upholding democracy, and for the return of pandas!
