Think playful pandas and you have a “what if” tale of transformation that will transport readers into a moonlit night of wishes and fantasy. Pandamorphosis, is a visual adventure that explores the unintended consequences of getting what you wish for. Follow a night of magic adventure as a young girl’s passion for pandas, her pet kitty, and pandas on the loose create fun and mayhem.
Pandamorphosis is a wordless picture book, telling the story in images, rather than words. The story springs from my love of and fascination with pandas. It tells the tale of a cat, who wants to be loved by her little girl owner, as much as the pandas, which the girl can’t get enough of on panda cams. The cat makes a wish on the moon, but gets more than she bargained for with her wish.
Think of this story as “The Cat in the Hat” meets “Metamorphosis” with playful pandas. Enjoy the book trailer, and see what transformations lay in store!

Anne Belov has been drawing and painting since the time she could hold a crayon. After receiving a BFA from The Philadelphia College of Art, she moved west and, since she didn’t learn everything the first time, went to art school again, receiving an MFA in painting from the University of Washington. She now makes her home on Whidbey Island. There are, to her knowledge, no pandas in her backyard. Her main regret in life is that there is no MacArthur genius grant awarded in the field of panda satire.
