Ooopsie! Here, kitty, kitty! Where are you?
Where does one go when one gets poofed by Pinky? I’m afraid I must admit to a certain amount of irresponsibility. I mean, this is fiction, right? Do I have to have an answer for everything???? Meanwhile, Pinky has to answer to a higher authority for her actions.
Yes: her mom. Just because she is now living on her own in real life, doesn’t mean the same rules apply here.
Small bears will get into trouble, won’t they?
Be the Bear!

Poor little Pinky cuddling her rabbit! Thank goodness she has Larry to help her
Poor Pinky? What about poor Mehitabel?
Every panda needs a little stuffed Bunny! Larry has his work cut out for him.
I’m wondering if Mehitabel has taken some time off and is only pretending to be “poofed”
What? Cats being sneaky? How could you think that?
I can assure you that Mehitabel’s disappearance was not voluntary, that she will be back, and will have had a surreal, yet interesting experiance. Stay tuned. 🙂
Hmmm. I like the way Pinky’s little bunny’s face reflects Pinky’s moods…was that bunny there before? I don’t remember..maybe I should go back and check? Um, could that little bunny be….??
I think this is the first appearance of Bunny. All children (including panda children) need their allegedly imaginary friends. Wu has Binky, now Pinky has Bunny. And of course, Calvin had Hobbes. #inspiration
I noticed Pinky’s bunny and enjoyed seeing Bunny’s face change, too. Glad Pinky has a lot of support in Larry and Bunny as she will need it. Mehitabel will reappear after wandering in a Tim Burton envisioned Pleasure Island where Pinoccio ended up.
Looking at Bunny, I thought Bunny was reacting to the situation as it heard it developing. Much like the doggie picture on the wall in “The Baby Blue Kitten and the Whole Batch of Cookies” by Ainslie Pryor. Does anyone know this book? (One of my favorites to read to my children when they were young.) The doggie’s face changed when it “saw” what was happening.
Mehitabel does end up somewhere quite surreal, although not quite as surreal as something out of a Tim Burton movie. (That was an excellent suggestion, though!)
I don’t know the story of the kitten and the whole batch of cookies, but I will look for it. I like anything with cookies. I’m sure we’ll see more of Bunny and that Bunny and Larry will have their paws full trying to keep Pinky on the straight and narrow. I don’t know what her reaction will be if Mama Mei presents her with a new sibling (or two!) thanks for writing!
