31 Days of Pandas!!!!!!
As I mentioned on Friday, with so many projects now on the front burner, I am not able to do a new cartoon every day this month. There will be new material as well, but I thought I would take this as an opportunity for some of our newer community members to catch up on some of the stories we have brought you in the past years.
Who can forget Princess Pinky’s first time on 31 days of pandas, when she was barely 100 days old!?
Needless to say, the Wu Self was not pleased to have to compete for screen time for 31 days of pandas!
To start this year off right, we thought we would have an encore presentation of that holiday classic, The Wizard of Wu!

I do hope we get a revisit of how Bert and Ernie became nicknames for Roberta and Ernestine thanks to Pinky!
I think I gave them their Panda Chronicle names when we thought they were boys. The names “Bert and Ernie” came to me immediately, because I have always loved the Muppets. When we found out they were girls, I toyed with changing their names, but nothing worked as well as Bert and Ernie. So I rationalized that they were nicknames for Roberta and Ernestine. I don’t think I ever explained it in a cartoon. I think it sort of worked itself out in Facebook comments. 🙂 there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes, thanks to my readers who have totally embraced the cartoon alter egos of real pandas. 🙂
Pinky: yes….I’m not really bad. She just draws me that way. We will see if she gets to continue this wanton disrespect of a smifsonian icon when i am prezzydent.
Aww, I know Pinky meant no harm! She only wanted to play in the Twinkies’ cub-house and they told her “No girls allowed”
Oh, sure. Stick up for Pinky! I only hope big brudder Tai doesn’t send Bubba any magical toys!
