Update on my friend in Pittsburgh: I finally got in touch with a mutual friend, and learned that his wife was not present during the shooting. He is still in critical condition, but they are expecting him to recover. It will be a long, hard recovery, but there is hope. Thanks for everyone’s concern.

We need a lot of frosting to eat today! Hang in there. I am watching a lot of panda videos these days. Stay strong, and I know it is hard.
I may have made a cake, and there may have been some extra frosting, which may currently be being eaten with a spoon. This is all rumor, of course, and we are not confirming or denying existence of frosting reserves.
