The Anticipation is KILLING me! and now….

….for the EXCITING conclusion of A Bear in the Air, Mr Wu’s big adventure, (of course there will be an epilogue on Wednesday, but at least now you know all the gory details!)!!!!

OK! Here it is!!!!

Bet ya didn't see this coming...or maybe you did.

Bet ya didn’t see this coming…or maybe you did.

The Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire would like to thank the Sooperpanna for agreeing to appear in this saga of adventure, impending disaster, and panda kindergarten perfidy.  We would also like to point out that no pandas were harmed in the drawing of this cartoon.  Stay tuned for Wednesday’s epilogue, as well as a guest appearance by the panda kindergarten on Rumpydog’s blog later this week. On Friday we will post links to the entire saga, so that you can read the whole series in order, in case you missed any of them.

till then,

Are all Fridays Fabulous, or just Furry fridays?

The Weather Guessers are giving us one more day of good weather, and then we go back to life as we know it really to be here in the upper left hand corner. Yes, I’m talking about rain, and then perhaps some showers.

Sigh.

Next week Mr. Wu wraps up his big adventure, A Bear of the Air.  Just maybe I might have Mr. Wu Monday as well as Mr. Wu Wednesday.  Wouldn’t that be fun?  Also the threats from people who are getting tired of cliffhangers, well…let’s just say we hear you and feel your pain.

But until Monday, here are a couple of my favorites to entertain you for the weekend!

Be the Bears!

Bob, Bob, Bob...when will you ever learn?

Bob, Bob, Bob…when will you ever learn?

Mehitabel gets even.

Mehitabel gets even.

Love the hobby horse on a spring (inspired by a REAL photo of a REAL panda on one.

Don’t you just love the panda kindergarten?

Have a great weekend!

I’m Late, I’m Late…for a Vewy Important Date!

So many of you have been sitting on the edges of your seats, wondering, what is going to happen to Mr Wu? Does a 9 month old cubby know how to fly, let alone LAND an airplane?  What was the panda kindergarten thinking when they gave Mr Wu an airplane, and then didn’t go with him on the first flight of The Fuzzy Cubby????? Will Mr Wu ever get out of detention when he gets home?  Are there about cuppycakes in solitary confinement?

So.

To set your minds at ease, we here at The Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire have been working day and night to find a solution to this dilemma.  Pandas are standing by to help, and in fact, we have had an offer from a very famous panda, who has space shuttle experience!  Tune in on Wednesday to see who this mystery panda could be.

But for now…

Nothing like a snappy graphic to um...solve a problem!

Nothing like a snappy graphic to… um…solve a problem!

Beware! Bears of the Air! Huzzah! It’s Mr Wu Wednesday!!!!!

Well….

As you are about to see, Mr Wu is about to have another adventure!  I must interject, however, that from the expression on Mr. Wu’s face in the second panel, he is, shall we say, becoming a member of the panda kindergarten in very good standing.

In fact, he could be stepping into the ring leader position, if you ask me.

Sigh.  His mother had such high hopes for him. (And what will all his girlfriends say?)

"Up in the Air, Junior Pandas..."

“Up in the Air, Junior Pandas…”

Can this cub be saved?

Be the Bear!

Bob T. Panda

PS: You KNOW that I would never let anything happen to Mr. Wu, so just relax and enjoy the story.

OMG it’s Fabulous Furry Friday

Well, here it is, Friday at last and I completely forgot to have something ready to speed you to your weekend, with dreams of pandas dancing in your brain.  What was I thinking?  To be honest, the cold that wouldn’t die is still making my head a little fuzzier than usual, but fortunately, there are many pandas in reserve!

But I do like the Friday pandas to be relevant, so today I give you the prologue to the Shakesbear pandas, as I am getting ready (finally!) to start working on some of the Shakespeare for Pandas plays that my brother wrote last year as part of a 31 plays in 31 days project.

Shakespeare is currently on my mind, because Whidbey Island’s very own Island Shakespeare Company is getting ready to launch a very exciting project.  Stay tuned for news of this exciting development!

After all, the playings the thing....

After all, the playings the thing….

The panda kindergarten will, of course, have a central role in the proceedings!

Have a wonderful weekend and Be the Bear!

Bob T. Panda!

It’s Fabulous Furry Friday with a NEW cartoon! (I can’t resist a good “scandal”)

One of the most fun things about panda satire is the ability to make fun of things that, quite frankly, aren’t very funny.  Also, you can “imply” things about non-panda related events by portraying it as pandas doing stuff. Just what am I implying here? I’m not telling!

Scandal in our nation’s capitol? I’m shocked!

"It was dark....there were men in masks...."

“It was dark….there were men in masks….”

Thanks for joining the pandas for launch week!  If you can’t access the createspace e-store, you can still find The Panda Chronicles Book 2: Wheel…of…Pandas! on Amazon!   Huzzah!  I think this discount code only works on createspace:

Thanks for joining in the fun!  Stay tuned for news of a book signing/launch party at our beloved Langley bookstore, Moonraker Books.

Woo hoo! More Pandas (and Cats!) for Launch week of Book 2 of the Panda Chronicles!

As I noted yesterday, I am humbled and pleased by the wonderful reviews that some of YOU, panda satire fans extraordinaire, have shared on Amazon. I admit (like most authors, even those who aren’t pandas) to having a love /hate relationship with Amazon. I adore my local bookshop, Moonraker Books, in beautiful downtown Langley, and do 99% of my book buying there.  But, Langley is a small town, and if I want to achieve WORLD PANDA SATIRE DOMINATION, not to mention encourage the MacArthur Foundation to add Panda Satire to their list of supported genres, well, we have to take our pandas on the road, as it were.

I hope you will add your voice to those who have already stepped up and said, “Yes!  We love panda satire!  Be the Bear!  Where are the cuppycakes?” Thanks!

Also, I’ve been around and about on the Internet, this time writing a guest post for the fabulous blog, Cordelia Calls it Quits.   I love Cordelia’s posts, which speak to my inner panda (also she has a thing for pandas as well, so, I was thrilled to be asked to write something for her. Check it out here!

And now, will Mehitabel escape from the panda kindergarten?

Run,kitty, run!

Run,kitty, run!

Don’t forget!  It’s launch week here at The Panda Chronicles and you can still use this code

to get 20% off your book when you buy it from my e-store!
