A Brief Visit to the Non-Dream World of Pandas
SOME of you have expressed worry that Pinky is being distressed by her dream. I can assure you that Pinky is fully committed to her dramatic roles and intends to see this little drama to its end. She is a professional, after all! (Pinky: I hopes to win da best panda in a dramatic role at next year’s Oscar fingies!)
But meanwhile, if Pinky was awake, this is what would be going on in the Panda House right about…now…
Well, now that Frank and Mikey have emerged from hibernation, we can go on with Pinky’s dream next week! Stay ‘tooned!

How the heck did THAT happen? I turn my back for one minute and suddenly, February is almost over. I mean, I KNOW it is the shortest month and everything, but is it really supposed to be THIS short????
But since time in Pandyland is somewhat…shall we say…flexible, we will soon have the Panda Kindergarten presentation for this year’s Lunar New Year Celebration (Which was cancelled the last two years because snakes and rats!!!) I can’t wait to see what the little darlings have up their paws, under the inestimable guidance of the leader of the Pandy Kindy, Bob T Panda!
But now, with no further ado….heeeeeeere’s Bikkie!

Bikkie’s Existential Dilemma
Such a small panda to have such a big existential dilemma! The hopes of all humanity are riding on his furry adorable butt. I think the only thing that kept me from running and screaming and jumping off the Deception Pass Bridge, was the opportunity to watch tiny Bikkie on the panda cam, being snuggled and fed and bathed by his most excellent mommy panda, Mei Xiang.
Now he has reached the “pouncing on mommee” stage of his development, and the “trying to steal a little bit of Mommee’s fruity” stage. And so, now that we have survived thus far, and with hope of things getting better on the horizon, I guess I will stick around for the “climbing up the tree and refusing to come down” portion of Bikkie’s development!
Meanwhile, Bikkie still needs his Beary Poppins!

It’s Inauguration Eve…
So…what’s happening? Anything special going on?
Yeah, me too. My nerves are about shot.
Here’s something to take your mind off of things: On Sunday, I alluded to a special offering that will be appearing on the Kickstarter project The Effervescent Adventures of Fight Bunny. It’s a project to bring an all ages graphic novel to life, and with only 9 days left on their campaign they are a little over $6,000 from their goal. Because 2021, I still feel the need to stab things repeatedly with very sharp needles, so I made a felty Fight Bunny, and offered it to them to help them towards reaching their funding goal.

There will only be one Fight Bunny (because, ya know, not taking someone else’s intellectual property to make money!) 31 Days of Pandas: THIS IS IT!!!!DAY 31!!!
FINALLY!
We have reached the end of 31 Days of Pandas! I hope it was as much fun for you as it was for me! I may have to take a little nap to get over all the excitement! This is also the final episode of Beary Poppins! I hope you enjoyed this parody, loosely (VERY loosely) based of the beloved children’s classic Mary Poppins by P.L. Travers.
It seems that Frank and Mikey have come to live at the Panda House, not unlike the way Tigger eventually came to live with Kanga and Roo, in A. A. Milne’s House at Pooh Corner. Next year I may have to do a story for the pandas based on that. (The REAL Winnie the Pooh, not that bastardized Disney version of it.)
Anyway, after a brief weekend break, I’ll be back with new ‘toons in the new year. Pinky has been surprisingly quiet over her defeat in the Presidential race, although by her tiara, it seems she is already planning for 2024. I’m sure she is up to something.
But now, let’s sit back and enjoy the final episode of Beary Poppins! Huzzah!
