I used to love All Pandas Eve …all of the little pandas, dressed in their costumes, heading out to trick or treat…maybe to a party…the air crisp and cold as the moon rises or the still visible tree tops and outlines of houses.
Actually, that’s not true. Going out trick or treating for Halloween made me vaguely anxious. I did like have a big bag of candy at the nights end. And that was in the days that you got full size candy bars, not those tiny “snack size” candy bars that you need to eat have a dozen to get a good mouth of chocolate. Ahem.
So let’s forget about all that and join Pinky and the rest of the junior pandas as they ponder what kind of All Pandas Eve costume would scare the crap out of everyone…
Panda on!
Bob T Panda
Eeeeeek! Just plain out and out scary! What will it do to the little ones, Bubba and Ping Ping?
Will their growth be stunted? Will they need eye bleach? Do we all need eye bleach?
I’m not sure anything could stunt Bubba’s growth. But Ping Ping is such a sensitive panda.
Meanwhile, I jerk away in horror everytime I am ambushed by You know who’s Photo or appearance on a video. Eye bleach sounds like a good idea. (No, not really! Don’t try that at home!)
I don’t see any cuppycakes coming their way with that mask on!!
Hmmmm…maybe they better rethink their costume ideas. No cuppycakes? Now THAT’S terrifying!
Now that is truly terrifying – in so many ways.
Love their reactions to the horror – especially Bert’s hat!
We have not forgotten the national nightmare. I want to know how that mask got in Bubba’s toy box. I mean, I just have no idea who put it there.
I love how you are able to convey the fluidity of Pinky’s moods! I must admit that defiant and sulky Pinky are my favorites.
Thank you! I do love petulant Pinky the best. Don’t tell her mom. She will blame me for Pinky’s misbehavior. Is it MY fault she has no boundaries? Oh…um…I guess it is. My bad.
Every time HWMNBN is on the TV it feels like Halloween. (or Nightmare on Elm Street, or Scream… I hate horror movies by the way so I am hoping this one will end soon) Now I need some chocolate, and I remember when the full-sized candy bars were 5 cents. Poor little Ping Ping all this must be frightening indeed. Thank you for all you do to brighten our days.
I too have fond memories of when full size candybars were 5 cents. Is it a sign that nothing costs 5 cents anymore that my keyboard does not have the cents symbol?
And yes, I long for this horror movie to be over. I’m not sure how much more of this national Nightmare on Pennsylvania Avenue I can bear.
Pass the chocolate!
ACK!! Oh my panda! That’s the scariest mask ever! How could it be in Bubba’s toy box? What evil being planted that on us? Poor little Ping Ping. Loved Banky Pig’s bugged eyes.
I don’t know who put that in Bubba’s toy box. Maybe Inspector Panda can find out.
