Hold your horses, Pinky! It is still Mr. Wu’s birthday season. We’ll get to yours next week. Meanwhile, if you are still on Fezbook and can follow Patricia Rice’s panda birthday posts, I highly recommend them. Given that she is a real life historian, she writes excellent birthday posts for many of the known captive panda population, including most of our favorite bears.
But now, in celebration of the cute Wu-Self, we bring you…Bears Under the Big Top!
Hope you enjoyed our trip down memory lane! (and for those of you who wondered how Wu met Bee, the Bear…)

I love this!❤️❤️❤️🐼🐼🐼Wu is so cute! And Babette did an unselfish deed to call his Mom! Huzzah for Babette! She is prancing and dancing right now! Wu just gave her a big hug! All my little bears are so happy with this journey down memory lane of birthdays! I love “I’ll write when I learn how!”
Thank you! And I miss all our pandas who have gone to China! So far, we still have Mei and Tian Tian at the SMITHSONIAN Zoo and feel very lucky to have them. The Zoo has reopened , but the Panda House is still closed to give Mei quiet time because we do not know if she is expecting.
I just want everybody to stay safe, wear masks, wash their hands, keep a safe distance.
And, Bob T. Panda, you stay safe! Pinky has started to plan an interpretative dance with the help of Bebe Maurice as part of her birthday celebration. Everyone will have a part. Ping says, “Ping!”
Babette is not ALWAYS evil! I do love that story.
I can hardly wait for Pinky’s “interpretive dance” I can see Bubba and Ping rolling their eyes now.
Ping!
