Just let you know, I have been cut back on the prednisone, but it will be another year before I get to be on a maintenance dose. Working slowly but surely.
As you know by now, Mommee Mei is not going to be a mommy. Phooey! But poor Mei seemed to be having a hard pseudo pregnancy, and I did not like the way she was acting. She slept a great deal, but also seemed to be out of it. I had hoped you would have another little cubby to write about. Wonder what a little sister to Pinky would have been like?

I check in on Yuan Meng aka BeBe Maurice every once in a while. He is a little Apache dancer type, rough and tough. He is still with his Mommee, and he is over two years old and still nurses! He will take his Mommee’s bamboo simply because she has it, and he wants it!

I’m so glad the goodies arrived! They make me happy just to look at them, and again, I am happy because they bring other people joy. Sharing joy was not particularly a feature of my family life (if you haven’t figured it out by now) but pandas have altered me forever.
I was really sorry to hear that Mei was not to be a mommy again. This may the end of the mommy path for her. It did seem like a hard pseudo pregnancy, harder than usual. I’m hoping Calgary won’t disappoint us. Er Shun is playing it cool, but she is not a panda that enjoys the public anyway. We will have to wait and see.
