While who wouldn’t love a holiday that’s all about chocolate, I have to admit that Valentine’s Day has never been one of my favorite holiday. It always felt like a day that’s sole purpose is to make single people feel like crap, and even when I was a kid and they had the “everyone must have a card for everyone” rule in school, I only got the obligatory tiny flat “cards” and never one of those elaborate handmade ones that showed you were REALLY loved and valued.
On the other hand, if I’d had a rich and friend filled childhood, I wouldn’t have become an artist and a cartoonist, so it’s a win for everyone. Right? Am I right?

Totally agree.. my only Valentine came from my Lead and the gal behind my cube brought in candy her Mom makes… and it’s chocolate.. so it’s all good.

We have to fight ebil in this world and stand together. If I knew how to put fricking hearts on this message, I would. You fight ebil by making me laugh and keeping the horror and frustration of what is happening in our country at bay. I so appreciate your talents! Now, love and fricking hearts to you on this day! And I so identify with Pinky! I adore her! Bubba is a sweet bear and loves his Zizzy. Pray tell, what does Ping have on, and why is he eyeing the bunny slippers? Oh, the intrigue! Now gird up your loins, we have ebil to fight! And I did not major in art history, but I know what putti are because I love art and majored in history and taught about these sweet little ones!

I bet there was so much mail that they had to get extra carriers for it! And of course, that caused delay!

I second what everyone had already said. We love you, Bob, for you being you and how you bring so much joy and laughter into our lives.
How sad that Pinky’s so sad. She shouldn’t gauge her fans’ love for her just because she didn’t receive any physical Valentine’s Day cards. But as always, Bubba comes to her rescue by being the kindest and most loving chubby cubby ever.
Looks like Ping will be wearing his doggy suit for a while. He looks so darn cute. 🙂
Into everyone’s life comes a little sadness and hardship, even Pinky’s. It’s part of what makes us human. Um..or pandas. yeah. Whatever.

I’ve always hated valentine’s day. Now that I’ve seen Pinky crying such huge tears over it I hate it even more! But I wouldn’t mind a card from Bubba and a visit from Puppy Ping 🙂
