Pardon us for technical difficulties…

I am just as bummed as you all are for my lack of being able to post these last two days.  We had a major windstorm in the Pacific Northwest on Thursday night, and that coupled with massive rainfall in the days preceding the windstorm left the ground mushy which apparently is not the desired state if you want really big trees to stay in the ground.

you will, however be happy to know that I haven’t let the lack of power at the headquarters for The Institute of Contemporary Panda Satire keep me from creating new cartoons. I just got a couple of cute little battery powered LED lamps so I could see to draw, and my freestanding propane fireplace is keeping me toasty.

PSE has said our power should be restored by tomorrow morning, so by afternoon I should be able to scan THREE new cartoons to share with you on Sunday! Huzzah!

and no, I don’t have a generator, nor do I plan to get one. They are noisy and stinky, and I kind of like the quiet  of a day without electricity. Thanks for all your notes of concern, and thanks for my Verizon equipped ipand so I don’t totally lose touch.

Huzzah!

Bob to Panda, being the bear.

Thank you. I am safe, warm, and dry. I like the quiet. (And now that I have my little battery powered LED lights, i can even see to draw new cartoons!

I am safe, warm, and have options for showers and dinner. I kind of like the quiet of being without electricity. No refrigerator noise, no radio. Hope to have the oower back by tomorrow, though.

Ha ha! Houses sliding off cliffs is actually known to happen around here…the price of a water view. Fortunately I have no views from my house so it’s unlikely I will slide off a cliff. Hopefully power will be restored today!
