One of my favorite lines in The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is when some robot or other is running around yelling Resistance is Futile and Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect are doing everything they can to resist, to no avail. It’s kind of like that when Mommee Mei turns her laser sharp gaze on Bubba, in order to make him spill the beans. The Vogons have nothing on Mommee when it comes to wielding power.

This may sound cruel, but I absolutely love it when Bubba is in a frenzy when confronted with telling a lie. I hope he’ll never outgrow that, because it’s absolutely adorable!

I always thought that was “Resistance is useless” from Dr. Who as said by the Daleks. Maybe one of them adapted it from the other.
Not being a Dr Whovian, I don’t know who said it first. I do know that “Resistance is futile!” Is a line in Hitch Hiker’s guide. I need a Douglas Adams/ Dr. Who expert to tell me which came first.
My inner panda thinks that Pinky is in major doo doo. Poor Bubba. He can’t take any pressure at all from Mommy. One suspects he will outgrow that.

It is no secret that having a precocious older sibling is no walk in the park! Let’s hope that Bubba keeps hos open, honest demeanor, even with Punoy as a role model.
