Yes it is Day 25 of 31 Days of Pandas, otherwise known as Crispmoss among the panda set. I would like to point out that it is 46 degrees inside my house, as the electric power has not yet returned. Because of my extreme dedication, I am at the library, preparing this and the next few days of 31 Days of Pandas posts so not a single post is late.

For those who said “Or what,” I am going to tell Pinky you said that and she will do something to you I’m sure. Maybe give you a medal, maybe poof you, I don’t know. Oh dear. Why did I think that a bunch of rich, white, male Senators would give any credence to what a woman had to say. Sorry to ruin your Friday morning, but if you thought the Senate Judiciary Committee (run by the Repugnant Republicans) was going to…oh, I don’t know…call for a full investigation to either prove or disprove the allegations against the Supreme Court nominee, but oh noOOOOOO. We can’t have that. We might have to believe the women and we know that is just not going to happen.

So, I realize I have too choices here. I could search for all the darkest ‘toons, and sink into the pit of despair (taking all of you with me for company) or…I could search for the pandiest ‘toons that bring us joy. Because we need it, I need it. The world needs it.

Yes, we are in the fogs of August, here in the other Washington, and you know what that means! It’s Pinky’s (and Bubba’s) birthday month, so we will be featuring ‘toons about Pinky and  Bubba all month long!

Huzzah!

Why dis is, i can’t remember.
august is da monf of ME

Zhennie’s Wild Adventure: the Finale

Zhennie’s wild adventure may be coming to an end, but only time will tell if a little cuppycake is in the oven, so to speak! Stay tuned to whatever real panda network you watch, to see if there are announcements of a little half wild bundle of joy! Of course, since her dad Gao Gao is also wild, this would make any resulting cubs…um…well, I don’t do math, so someone else will have to figure this out.

Math is not my friend!

But let’s see how Miss Zhennie’s adventure ends!

Today I went to the arts and craft store in my town, and as I was making my purchase, we discussed this adorable fabric with pandas, and the young woman waiting on me said she liked pandas too, so I gave her one of my yourbrainonpandas cards, and she said, “OMG! I read Your Brain on Pandas all. the. time! I have some of the books! I’ve been reading them since I was 13!”

Made. My. Day.

Just goes to show you. You never know the reach of your art. Keep doing it!

Zhen Zhen Goes Walkabout

We have one more story we must address before we return to our feature presentation, Pinky in Wonderland! A few months ago, it was revealed that San Diego’s former panda princess, Zhen Zhen, aka Zoomie, was allowed free access to the wilder world, in hopes she would bring home a nice panda boy from a fine family. Or something like that.

We are headed in to the high season of the panda birthday season, and it is never too early to start celebrating the July 29th birthday of the one, the only, the most adorable panda EBBER, the real Wu Self! He was my first baby panda, and so he’ll always be most special to me. Pinky may rant and rage about this, but what can I say? My heart will always belong to Wu!
