You may be wondering…..

…about that little box that has a countdown to “Project Launch Day”  (which is at 15 days, even as we speak)

But what does it all mean?

Well, oh lovers of panda satire, it means that I finally have enough panda cartoons to self publish some actual printed books of The Panda Chronicles!

Pandas have long been active in literary pursuits

So, having had one successful Kickstarter project under my belt for a fine art printmaking project, I decided that the time has come to let the pandas take the stage!  Huzzah!

My cunning plan is to make it a fairly modest project, so that if I only get enough funding to do the first book, I will be able to take the time necessary to finish formatting the cartoons for print, do all the book-y stuff that I’ll have to do to make The Panda Chronicles Book 1: Your Brain on Pandas a reality.

But….

If I get overwhelming support, so that I go above and beyond my goal amount, it means that I can do all three books for whichI already have completed cartoons RIGHT NOW THIS VERY MINUTE.

But what can I do to help?”  I hear you all saying in the background?  Well, of course I will be exceedingly grateful to any of you who choose to pledge at whatever level you can afford.  Even a whole bunch of $1 pledges move me closer to my goal (and make me look really popular to the Kickstarter staff.)  But what would help a lot, is if all of you who love panda satire the way we do it here, would tell all your friends about my project.  Now, I’m not launching it for two more weeks, because I still have some pieces of the proposal to get into place, but don’t worry, I’ll remind you.  In the meantime, there are still a few Panda Olympic events that need to happen, so keep tuning in.

Here’s what my project profile picture will be, so you know what to look for….

And of course, the panda kindergarten can’t WAIT to help with this project…..

Here we are! At the Olympics! Really! (well, really in a cartoon fantasy kind of way)

You’ve been waiting, we’ve been busy…I know earning a living is no excuse!  So, without further panda-ing around, here is an installment of the Panda Chronicles, LIVE from the Olympic Stadium!   Huzzah!

It’s round, it’s cuddly, it’s black and white…who WOULDN’T make this mistake?

More Olympics coverage to come!   Huzzah!

Huzzah, Huzzah, A bear is born!

We are quite excited to learn that a new panda cub was born to Madame Bai Yun, the queen of panda moms, at the San Diego Zoo yesterday afternoon.  (no midnight vigils for Bai! )

Now if only Mei Xiang and Ya Ya could share in the blessed events….

we are still hoping for a panda cub trifecta

Later this week…the exciting conclusion to the torch bear’s saga!

Somewhere in London, the pandas wait for the torch bears!

The opening ceremonies have begun…the pandas are at the starting post, poised by the pool, practicing pandanastics pirouettes….The glory of Pandyland is at stake. They have one goal on their minds……

Cuppycakes (or in this case, cookies.)

Huzzah!

Going for the …um…chocolate chip.

Happy Saturday!

If reality didn’t provide ideas like this, I would have to make stuff up.

OK, Ok, airline security is no laughing matter…unless there are pandas involved.

what will the panda kindergarten do next?

While I don’t like to listen to the news, it does give me some good ideas for cartoons.

Coming soon!  The Panda Olympics!  (The Panda Kindergarten’s adventures in Italy are temporarily on hold while the Olympics are on, but they’ll be back!)

It’s Monday! Time to embrace your inner panda!

It’s Monday morning, and I want to welcome all the new pandateers who have visited the Panda Chronicles for the first time.  One of our most important concepts here at The Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire, is that of Embracing Your Inner Panda.

I also have to give myself a big dope-slap for missing the opportunity to add a relevant and irreverent caption to Saturday’s cartoon.  As it was Bastille Day, the caption to this cartoon SHOULD have read: “Let them eat cake.”  (go back and look if you missed it)

And now, on to today’s cartoons!

But wait, there’s more!

Celebrate Panda Awareness Week!!! Huzzah!

We were so happy when we heard about Panda Awareness Week on Facebook the other day, that we could hardly contain ourselves!  So, we had to postpone the continuation of the saga of the panda kindergarten in Italy for  just a few more days…(and then there is the upcoming Panda Olympics and what ever happened to those torch bears after they sold their torch?)

And then, coincidentally, I heard a story about the annual Running of the Bulls, in Pamplona, Spain, and I thought, wouldn’t THAT be the perfect event to hold during panda awareness week?  Not the running of the bulls, of course, but the running of the BEARS!!!!!!

What makes a panda run? Cuppycakes, of course!!!!

Be the bear!

Celebrate Panda Awareness Week by telling 3 of your friends about the Panda Chronicles!
