Oh Those Pandas!
In light of the upcoming 2012 Olympic games to take place in London this summer, I thought I would occasionally bring you some highlights of Panda Olympics past. As you can see, the panda bobsled team (comprised of the 2010 panda kindergarten) had a few …um…problems.

So, now that the panda revolution had begun, friends started giving me several things. One was stuffed pandas and anything related to pandas. The other was articles about pandas who attacked people. One article was about a man who was so overwhelmed by the pandas cuteness, he had to climb the fence to hug him. Bad idea. so of course, I thought to myself: “Hmmm… now if I were a panda that had just attacked someone who had tried to hug me, what would I do? Go on a talk show, of course!”
And then of course, there would have to be protest marches in support of Bob.
and OF COURSE, after Bob got out of prison, he would sing about his unjust imprisonment in a coffee house!

Every once in a while, a story about pandas or a panda video makes us, here at the Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire, want to create a cartoon commemorating the moment. A few days ago we watched a video of a woman being overwhelmed by the panda kindergarten while having a “cuddle time with pandas”. Here is our interpretation of the event. I’m sure this has never actually happened. OK we’re pretty sure.

Pandas Are in the news these days, between The National pandas getting their contract renewed, (not to mention Mei Xiang being “in the mood, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, nudge, know what I mean?), videos of twin pandas in spain, and a video I just saw, courtesy of “Panda News” of a panda cub climbing over his mother’s head, falling off the other side, and then climbing back over again…wheeeeeeee! Well, is there no end to panda fun? I think not!
