I read that Zoo Atlanta had announced the end of the season, when the wonderful fresh bamboo shoots were no longer available.

Yep, we have lived through another 31 Days of Pandas, and for this (and the previous 2 years), I think I can speak for us all when I say that we really needed a little pandish hilarity.

Oh my! I have survived power outages, the beginnings of the goobermint shutdown, and the destruction of the rule of law. If you haven’t watched SNL’s “It’s a Wonderful Trump” do it now! It’s almost as good as “It’s a WUnderful Life” (It doesn’t have pandas, but hey! not everyone can have pandas.)
I am so happy that all of you are here, following along with The Panda Chronicles! It is my privilege to share these ‘toons with you every week, and plan to continue until they drag me away. Hopefully, it won’t come to that, but I can’t imagine that I’ll “tone it down.”

This is my week to see what’s what in the studio, count frames and painting panels, and start planning my year, both in paintings and in pandas. Oh my! We are already halfway through 31 Days of Pandas! (in other venues, they may be holding 31 Days of Indictments, but I don’t really know what the exact numbers are.) All I know is, I have been keeping up with the extra ‘toons each week (did you notice?) I’m happy to say that I have the last few ‘toons for this year done and ready to scan.
I want to thank all of you who show up each week to read these ‘toons, comment, and especially those who are able to drop a little in the collection plate every now and then. I appreciate that more than I can say. But whether you have the means to assist me in my panda satire or not, you are all welcome here in Pandyland.
