I always like September, well, at least now that I don’t actually HAVE to go back to school, that is, but it still, oh these many years later, (don’t ask) gives me a burst of energy to get back into the studio and actually get something done. The panda kindergarten is no exception and they absolutely PROMISE to be much better behaved this year. (Although I think I saw some paws crossed behind their backs when they said that.)
Meanwhile, back at the Kickstarter ranch, we are at 86% with only 6 days to go! For those of you not following or yet on board with the Kickstarter project (ahem) hope you will check it out, because we have big, pandy plans here at the Institute for Contemporary Panda Satire! I’d like to unveil the third in the triumvirate of panda posters (starting with “30 days of Pandas,” moving on to “Bee, the Bear,” and now we present:

I love both of these skits! I love the idea of Fezbook – those hats really suit the pandas, nice choice! I have had those moments during my short career as a teacher where you think “oh man…”
Pandas and fezzes do seem to go together, don’t they? I never had the nerve to become a teacher (at least of younger pandas) it is a miracle that people do, and thank God for that! Why people think that teachers don’t deserve 2 or 3 times what they get is a mystery to me.

Hi Beth! WELCOME ABOARD THE PANDA BUS! I’m really happy you are on board. Kickstarter is an amazing thing, and doing my projects will help me give a really good presentation on it in March. Hope you stop in and visit the pandas here too. I caught a brief glimpse of you across the room. Vote for Bob, and spread the word, as I have but 5 1/2 days to go!

I don’t know that the nuns are in league with the pandas (I think they would be much stricter with the panda kindergarten than Babette de Panda is, after all she is something of a free spirit herself) But they do all have the black and white thing going on, so who knows. I don’t know if you ever listened to Firesign Theater, but the line “class, CLAAAAS,…” is lifted from one of their skits.
